  • South Hills Country Club Wedding | Ashley & Jeff

The wedding reception of Ashley and Jeff with Pittsburgh Disc Jockey DJ Rockin Steve was held at the South Hills Country Club. Following their marriage at St. Anne's Church, Ashley and Jeff headed to the newly remodeled Country Club for pictures and some light refreshments.

After seeing the ballroom before the guests Ashley, Jeff and the 24 members of their bridal party headed to a holding area at the country club while the guests enjoyed some hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Guests were also treated to a photo booth plus a DVD video presentation of their child hood and family/friends photos in an adjacent room. There was even a Wedding Tree for guests to thumbprint, then sign.

Following cocktail hour the 230 guests made their way into the gorgeous ballroom with exquisite flowers for center pieces, a huge cup cake tier and purple up-lighting throughout the room.

The bridal party was introduced to the song "Tonight's The Night" by Outasight. It was so appropriate. Jeff and Ashley entered with huge smiles as guests cheered while "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas played in the background.

The newlyweds immediately had their first dance together to Ryan Cabrera's song "True". Followed was the toasts given by the best man and maid of honor. After the blessing guests enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked by the country club's personal chef's..

As the end of dinner approached Ashley and Jeff had a "Newlywed Game" presentation. This is where the couple is seated back to back on the dance floor, while various personal questions are asked pertaining to them. Such questions as "Who uses more hot water when they shower?" or "Who got better grades in school?". All in fun. They answered each question by holding up a pink or blue teddy bear, pink for Ashley and blue for Jeff.

Upon completion of the newlywed game these two people cut a cup cake in lieu of a traditional wedding cake thus allowing guests to select there own from the tall display. Ashley and her father danced to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland, followed by Jeff dancing with his mother to "A Song For My Son" by Mikki Verdi. Ashley and her step father then dance to Rascal Flatts hit "My Wish".
Guests joined Jeff and Ashley on the dance floor for a variety of songs including the "Steeler Polka" by Jimmy Polk. Later in the evening an Anniversary Dance was held followed by the traditional Bridal Dance to the "Redovy" by the Treltones.

Immediately followed the bouquet toss by our lovely bride to all of the single ladies. "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper played while the bachelorettes took their best shot at catching the bouquet.

Jeff removed Ashley's garter to Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On". The garter was tossed to the available men to "You Shook Me All Night Long" by the classic rock group AC/DC. Guests then made their way to the dance floor following the placing of the garter on the young lady who caught the bouquet. The song "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO had everyone cheering as they returned for additional fun on the dance floor.

Some of the popular songs played were by Nikki Minaj, V.I.C., Temptations, Backstreet Boys and many more. It was a great evening of fun, dancing, socializing and drinking with friends and family. We wish Jeff and Ashley the very best of health, wealth and happiness in they years to come and were thankful to be a part of their wedding celebration.
