  • George Washington Hotel Wedding | Lindsay & Michael

The George Washington Hotel was the place to be this past Saturday as these two newlyweds joined their love to one another forever. Starting off with a 3:00 ceremony at St. David's church, Lindsay and Michael were married in front of their family and 150 of their closest friends.

Immediately following the lovely ceremony, guests made their way to the historic George Washington Hotel in downtown Washington PA. Light hors d'oeuvres were served as the invitees mingled in the lobby listening to a variety of music.

Once the newlyweds and bridal party arrived via limousine, Bradley Jox, events manager for the venue escorted them to the bridal suite. Here everyone relaxed, sipped champagne then freshened up for their grand wedding introductions. There was even time for a few quick pictures taken by professional photographer Veronica Varos.

Guests then made their way to the grand ballroom located on the second floor. The parents and bridal party were informed of the details of the evening then put in order for their entrance debut. Everyone didn't hold back applauding the parents of these two wonderful people as they were introduced. The bridal party followed in succession to "Forever" by Chris Brown showing off a variety of dance moves.

"Black and Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa was Michael and Lindsay's choice for their introduction music and it was quite obvious they were indeed enjoying themselves. The first formality of the reception was the couples very first dance together as husband and wife. Jack Johnson's "Angel", a short yet heart touching song was their choice and sincerely captivated the audience.

Following the dance it was time to cut the wedding cake. It's interesting how such a small piece of cake gently wiped across each others face can bring such laughter from the guests. Though all in good fun I believe Lindsay got the upper hand in this one. "Love Story" by Taylor Swift played during this formality.

Lindsay's father welcomed all and thanked everyone for being here to help celebrate his daughter and son in laws marriage. Couples came from far away including Portland Oregon to celebrate this blessed event. Dan the best man followed with a delightful toast leaving enough time for Lindsay's two sisters to say a few words as well.

A formal sit down dinner was served to all as guests further socialized and occasionally snuck onto the dance floor for a little dancing. Once everyone had their entree the music picked up in beat and numerous folks began hitting the dance floor not wishing to wait. It was obvious these fantastic people really wanted to celebrate this evening.

Lindsay and her father did indeed have a father and daughter dance to "Cinderella" by Stephen Curtis Chapman. The mother and son dance followed as Michael danced with his mom to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World".

The dance floor was officially opened up to all and a wide variety of tunes were danced to including Shout, Troublemaker, Sweet Caroline, Love You Till The End by the Pogues and more. Guests of all ages packed the dance floor the entire night with only a short break as Lindsay tossed her bouquet from the balcony.

Approximately two dozen single ladies attempted to catch the floral bouquet with Beyonce's hit "Single Ladies" played. The festivities continued into the evening with songs "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and "I've Had The Time Of My Life" recorded by Jennifer Warnes and Bill Medley concluded the night. Michael and Lindsay chose these two songs a s a fitting way to send their fantastic guests on their way.

A small after party was held downstairs where pizza and drinks were served. It was such a delight to be a part of Lindsay and Michael's wedding reception. With parents, family and a great couple it's no wonder why we love being a part of the celebration.

The George Washington Hotel wedding was a blast for us and can't wait to return again for other weddings. Good luck to Lindsay and Michael in their new life together.
