  • Willow Room Wedding Reception | Erin and Jonathan

Following Erin and Jonathan exchanging wedding vows, everyone headed to the Willow Room to celebrate the marriage of these two fantastic people. The wedding ceremony was held at Irwin First United Methodist Church and began promptly at 3:30.

Upon arriving at the venue, wedding guests enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres as they mingled with friends and relatives and enjoying the wonderful weather that had been bestowed upon us this day.

The doors opened to the main room which had been exquisitely decorated as usual and wow'ed the guests as they entered the room. The color scheme revolved around the color of teal and in lieu of table numbers, photo cards showed the unique places Erin and Jon had visited. Places such as Seneca Rock in West Virginia, the beach and even a Pittsburgh Penguin game at Consol Energy. It's those small things that help to make this grand event so unique and personable.

Once all 14 of the bridal party along with our bride and groom had arrived, all were escorted to the bridal suite to get freshened up and enjoy some light finger foods. Following Erin having her gown bustled, all were taken to the main entrance in preparation for the introductions.

The bridal party's entrance song was Bret Hart's WWE "Hitman" theme. Having a great beat it wasn't difficult for the groomsmen to show off their dance moves as they entered the venue with folks applauding.

Being sports fans and big fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Erin and Jon entered to "The Boy's of Winter", the Penguins theme song. With an entrance like this it would be hard for anyone not to enjoy themselves tonight especially after the blinds were drawn focusing attention on our newlyweds.

With a captive audience Erin and Jon chose to enjoy their first dance together and decided upon Dave Barnes "God Gave Me You" for their song. It's always so wonderful to watch two people so deeply in love forget all the cares in the world and get lost in this moment.

Cutting the wedding cake followed with the Disney classic "Be Our Guest" playing in the background as each took a small bite of their wedding cake. Two toasts and the blessing were then given and all took their seats for dining.

As the end of dinner approached a DVD video presentation comprised of pictures from Erin and Jonathan's childhood thru today was shown upon the large screen in the venue's room. It brought back many great memories for not only their parents but numerous guests as well. Time passes so quickly but here was a few minutes for friends and family to take a trip back in time.

The father and daughter dance was forth coming with Stephen Curtis Chapman's hit "Cinderella" playing as Erin and her father danced together. Jonathan danced with his mom, then his step-mom to "I'll Stand By You" by the Pretenders.

Guests opened up the dance floor to Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" and the party was on! With a variety of songs played everyone found themselves either dancing or tapping their toes for the remainder of the evening. There were group sing-alongs as well as guests surrounded Erin and Jonathan singing their hearts out.

A few of the well received hits were Friends In Low Places, Country Roads, Sweet Caroline and even one of the grooms favorites, "Lawyer's, Gun's and Money" by Warren Zevon. One of the groomsman wore a horse-head while dancing to the tune.

Erin tossed her bouquet later in the evening to Martina McBride's "This One's For The Girls", congratulations to Katie for catching the bouquet.

The evening seemed to end to soon as guests were shuttled back to their hotel or headed on to Molenars for a little after party celebration.

Best wishes for a great marriage, plus good health to our newlyweds Erin and Jonathan, and thanks for a great Willow Room Wedding Reception.
