  • Wedding Bells Ring For Amanda & Donald | Holiday Inn Monroeville Reception

Another beautiful Sunday as wedding bells ring for Amanda and Donald K. Wedding vows were exchanged at the Second United Presbyterian Church in Wilkinsburg at 2:00PM. Immediately following a lovely service guests and family made their way to the Holiday Inn Monroeville for the reception.

During bridal party picture talking wedding guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and light drinks. With a little throw-back to the techno era the bridal party entered to Darude's high energy song "Sandstorm". Keeping along with the same theme Amanda and Donald entered the room to "Let's Get Ready To Rumble".

Donald and Amanda started off the evening with their first dance to the very touching song "Huckleberry" by Toby Keith. It's the perfect time to engage your guests in your special dance with a captive audience. The cutting of the cake ensued to Jack Johnson's "Better Together.

Entree's were served following the best man Jeremy's toast and then blessing. Amanda and her father enjoyed a very special dance to "Dance Baby" by Chris Cagle. It was a very touching father daughter dance. Donald and his mother followed with a mother son dance to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World".

The dance floor opened up immediately following with guests celebrating the newlyweds vows. Later on in the evening Amanda tossed her wedding bouquet with Ashley being the lucky lady catching it. With "Single Ladies" playing by Beyonce' it seemed very appropriate at the time. Donald removed his wife's garter to Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On", then proceeded to toss it to a group of single men.

The garter toss song chosen for this formality was "Jump" by Kris Kross. A little "Bump n Grind" by R. Kelly was played as Jeremy, the lucky recipient of the garter placed it on Ashley.

An americanized bridal dance was held with both bride and groom taking a brief dance with their guests. A variety of upbeat songs gave many the opportunity to thank both Donald and Amanda. Additional dancing continued with an extended 80's New Wave set.

Amanda and her girls danced the night away to many of their favorite tunes. It's always a great sight to see a bride and her bridesmaids fully enjoying her wedding day. A nice mix of hip-hop, alternative and even country gave all something to dance to.

We wish nothing but the best for these two and their families in the years ahead. Having spent a few hours with these two means a lot to us and were thankful to be a tiny part of their wedding day. Good luck in the years ahead to Amanda and Donald.
