Held on a private residence in Washington, PA this late September wedding had the charm and elegance many brides dream of. Guests began arriving at 4:00 for a 4:30 outdoor ceremony just in front of a lovely grape arbor.
While Jade and her bridesmaids were finishing those last minute details Evan's groomsmen were escorting guests to their seats surrounded by lush greenery. Reverend Hilary Livingston took her place in front of the arbor and officiated the service.
Parents were escorted to their seats while the song "Take My Hand" by Joe Wodarek played in the background. Our groom Evan and his best man Brady took their positions anxiously awaiting the arrival of Jade and her girls.
The bridesmaids, escorted to their places by their escorts, made their way down the green lawn while "Jesu, Joy of a Man's Desiring played. With an outdoor ceremony the music traveled and filled the entire area with soft sound. With perfect weather and such wonderful people it was easy to see this wedding was meant to be.
Savanah the lovely flower girl casually made her way to the alter while sporadically dropping fresh rose petals for the lovely bride to follow. The music segued into "Canon in D" by the O'Neill Brothers and signaled the forthcoming of Jade and her father.
Jade and her father made their way from the house to just in front of the grape arbor it was truly a lovely sight. Rev. Livingston began the service and shortly thereafter these two wonderful people were pronounced husband and wife.
As opposed to walking up the aisle, the newlyweds chose to walk under the arbor and lead their friends and family to the reception area on the other side.
While bridal pictures were being taken many enjoyed some light snacks and prepared for dinner. Evan and Jade were introduced to cheering guests to U2's "Beautiful Day". It was a wonderful way to leave all the jitters or pre wedding nerves behind and start to enjoy their new life together.
A first dance was held immediately following introductions. The lovely song by Christina Perri "A Thousand Years" was selected and all of us could tell these words hit home with these two. Cutting of the cake followed to "How Sweet It Is, To Be Loved By You".
A toast was given by both the best man and maid of honor with a blessing concluding the preliminaries. The buffet was a variety of delicious food and plenty of cake and cupcakes for everyone with a sweet tooth.
"You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker was played while Jade and her father enjoyed a few special minutes together. Evan then danced with his new daughter, the lovely flower girl Savannah to the remainder of the song. Brad Paisley's "He Didn't Have To Be" was the choice for Evan and his mother to concluded the formalities with a mother son dance.
Wedding guests danced for the remainder of the night under a large open sided tent with various up lights illuminating the dance floor. The music only paused a few moments while Evan removed his wife's garter to "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred.
The celebration concluded just as the evening air started to cool off and the guests wore themselves out from dancing.
It was an honor to be a part of not only the reception, but the wedding ceremony as well. The caterers, Rev. Hillary and the photographer did a great job of giving this couple exactly what they were looking for in a wedding day. We wish them all the success and love in the world as they embark on a new life together.
